Hew Hackinstone is a barmy Shield Dwarf Berserker from the Sword Mountains of northern Faerun. 

Three years ago, Hew was part of a Dwarven expedition seeking to reopen Wyrmheart Mine in southern Chult. The Expedition encountered Tinder the red Dragon.

He alone escaped, and only after the dragon bit off his left arm. Hew wants to Return to the mine and slay the Dragon, but he needs a band of stout-hearted adventurers to help him.  

He now works as a guide out of Port Nyanzaru ever keeping his eyes open for the group that will help him on his quest for revenge.  Picky on who to take, he spends most of his time in the Thundering Lizard tavern drinking his fill and partaking in the daily brawls that erupt in the tavern.
